Life is a short trip - figure out how to do what you love and make a difference if you can.
I started out interested in Political Theory, and attended school for my MA. I'm always involved in a cause.
I believe if you are given an opportunity to do something that makes a difference, do it. Step up. Make an effort.
I was on the Board of Directors for a Non-Profit called "Friends Without Barriers" in Redondo Beach for 10 years, and did
the logo for them. It is an amazing, purposeful organization that helps people with information and friendship who have HIV and AIDS.
I became an artist because I had to - I have to paint and create. I love to teach, and I'm pretty good at it, based on the results of my students.
Everyone can paint, if they want to, they just need some training.
I've sold a painting to the Four Season's Beverly Hills which is used as their in room postcard.
I sell posters to Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, and they make great wine.
I've worked with kids with autism, and neurological disorders and love seeing them find freedom in painting.
My son seems to love painting, and he has the patience for it, and he 5. There is something really amazing watching a little kid enjoy painting.
I hope to continue to paint, make a difference, maybe change a small bit of the world for the better, if possible. I'll just keep trying.
